Learning & achieving together

6th Form Earth Blue Group

Welcome to Blue Group 2019 - 2020

PSHE has been about students developing hobbies and pastimes, as alternatives to the computer or internet-based activities; throughout the term, the class has explored puzzles, arts and crafts, singing and dancing, museums and historic buildings, and, of course, just chilling.

The Careers lessons have allowed students to explore aspects of specific careers. These have included Chef, Builder, Beauty Therapist and Florist.

Cookery is an important part of our students' lives; whether they are preparing a family meal for the whole class, or a snack lunch, individually, the skills ore vital in increasing their independence.

Creative Arts has seen students continuing to practice for the Coppers Award Show, and then when rehearsals had to cease due to the Coronavius, they worked on producing props and scenery, back in 6th Form

The PE focus, this term, has been Karate.

Work Experience has been busy, with students participating in a range of placements; Lunch Time Supervisor, Horticuluralist, Supermarket Assistant, Delivery Person, etc

Our students are fortunate to be taking part in the Copper Award show on 27th March 2020

Students from our 6th Form along with their peers from Farnborough 6th Form College will be taking part.

Rehearsals and prop-making are coming along for this year's Coppers Award production, Beauty and the Beast

We have started to learn Karate with Corin, our resident black belt expert!

Our Enterprise group has been working hard, growing tulips to sell for Valentine's Day

The 6th Form Legacy 110 Project won an award and here are three of the young men responsible, on their way to the Tower of London to collect their prize!

A busy session serving our class-baked cakes, in aid of Macmillans Coffee Morning; with the help of our Early Years friends we have raised even more than last year!!

Welcome back to a new year in 6th Form Blue Group! We have already been busy clearing up, inside and outside; clean carpets and a tidy garden :-)
