Aided Language Boards (ALBs)
Aided Language Boards (ALBs)
ALBs are used throughout the school. They are used alongside PECS and other strategies and also as an alternative progression on from PECs. The colours used on these boards are in line with the Hampshire County Council colours for colour-coded communication.
Around school there are larger interactive communication boards to further support our students’ communication e.g in the food tech room, sensory room and out in the playground, ensuring that students have access to communication in all contexts.
