Benefits of Head  Massage

 

 

Muscular Skeletal System

Increases flexibility and muscle tone, improving mobility and range of movement

Releases tightness, tension and toxins

Aids digestion, speeding up elimination of waste from the system and alleviating constipation

Balances the hormones. Massage causes the brain to release endorphins (the body’s natural ‘happy’ hormones)

Relaxing the body encourages deeper breathing

Assists drainage of lymph from cells which aids removal of toxins from the body and boosts the immune system, increases production of antibodies and reduces swelling

Pain Control

Masks pain by giving the recipient a pleasurable feeling as positive nerve messages travel faster than pain messages (Pain Gate Theory)
